Sennheiser ClipMic Digital Lavalier Mic with Apogee Converter, and Lighting Connector for Direct Connection to iOS Devices
Here is a significant development for public speakers of all kinds. Getting a broadcast-quality recording out of a lavalier microphone has always been a challenge...until now. The ClipMic Digital from Sennheiser delivers the intelligibility and robust presence you expect from Sennheiser, but now in a miniature lapel-mounted format. The ClipMic package includes a precise clip-on microphone, a high-quality external signal converter and iOS apps that make everything run smoothly. It is your entry into the professional league of mobile speech recording with iOS devices.
Your mobile device is an icredible piece of technology. It packs more processing power than the recording studios that produced some of your favorite old recordings, but it can't deliver those results by itself. ClipMic digital offers a quality microphone and pristine Analog to Digital conversion. And it comes with all the apps you need, available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
The ClipMic digital was developed as a joint engineering project between Sennheiser and Apogee. As a reference brand in the high-end studio range, Apogee delivers the unmatched technology to convert the signal for ClipMic digital. The result - 96 kHz sampling frequency and 24-bit resolution - surpasses any CD and all expectations of mobile recordings.
No hiss, no echo, no disturbing background noise. Whether podcast or quick interview, presentation or meeting: the ClipMic digital is ready to record in a matter of seconds. Plug in, clip on, start the app and off you go. The small but powerful ME 2 microphone screens out ambient noises while focusing on the closest sound source.
The killer apps
MetaRecorder saves all recordings in the highest quality - including all the metadata to simplify the subsequent editing. The files are then available via Dropbox, iTunes, or for emailing. With the Maestro app, you can take full control of the ClipMic digital's finer settings. ClipMic digital uses the Lightning connector, thus saving the high-quality data stream directly in your iOS device. The 3.5 mm stereo connection remains free for monitor connectors via headphones.
